Schedule

What time is the show on Saturday and Sunday?
Gates open at 9:00 AM on Saturday and Sunday. Flight Line Club and Private Chalets open at 10:00 AM.
The aerial portion of the show runs from approximately 12:00 PM – 3:00 PM.
Will the schedule be the same both days?
All major acts will perform both days. The detailed daily schedule is posted prior to the event.
What time is practice on Friday?
Practice schedules are subject to change and are not published. You may see aircraft flying throughout the week prior to the show. For the latest updates, please check our social media @NorthStarAirShow.

Tickets & Entry

Does my child need a ticket?
It depends on the venue:

  • General Admission: Children 5 and under are free. Ages 6+ require a ticket.
  • Premium Seating: Lap infants 2 and under do not require a ticket. Child tickets available for ages 3-17.
  • Flight Line Club VIP: Lap infants 2 and under do not require a ticket. All other guests, including children, require their own ticket and reserved seat.
  • Photo Pit: Everyone requires a ticket, no exceptions.

Can I leave and re-enter?
Due to security and check-in procedures, no re-entry is permitted.
Please make sure you have everything you need for the day before entering.
Is parking included? Where do I buy parking?
All ticket levels include parking. Your parking pass will be sent via email.
We recommend printing it to show parking attendants. There is no additional parking available for purchase.

On-Site Experience

Will there be aircraft on ground display?
Yes, there will be aircraft on ground display.
Do I need to bring my own chairs?
If you’re in General Admission, we recommend bringing chairs or a blanket.
Premium Seating and Flight Line Club VIP include seating, so you can leave chairs at home.
Do you recommend ear protection for children?
Yes. Ear protection is highly recommended, especially for children under 5 who may be startled by the noise.

Accessibility

Will there be handicap access to the show?
The event is ADA compliant. We recommend giving yourself a little extra time to get to the viewing areas.
Is there handicap parking?
Yes. Handicap parking spots are available in all lots. Please show your placard to the parking attendants on arrival.

Policies

Can I bring a tent, awning, or pop-up shade?
No. Personal tents, pop-up canopies, beach umbrellas, and other structures that may obstruct the view of guests are not permitted. Hand-held personal umbrellas and chair-attached shades are allowed.
Small infant sun shelters may be permitted for families with babies or very young children. These must remain low-profile and may not block sightlines. Event staff reserves the right to determine what is acceptable.
Can I bring food or drink?
Outside food or beverage is not allowed, except one sealed bottle of water (up to 1 liter) per person.
Food and beverage vendors will be on site.
Are bags allowed?
Yes, bags are allowed but subject to security inspection upon entry.
Are weapons prohibited?
Yes. Firearms and weapons (including knives/razors) are prohibited. The event takes place inside the airport fence and security screening rules apply.
Can I fly a drone at or near the air show?
Absolutely not. Drones/UAS are prohibited during the event due to FAA regulations and an active TFR. Do not bring or operate a drone on or near airport property—violations may result in removal and enforcement action.
Can I smoke or vape?
No smoking or vaping is permitted on airport grounds.
Are pets allowed?
No, pets are not allowed inside the event site.
Do I need to purchase tickets in advance?
Yes. The North Star Air Show is a gated event and tickets are required for entry.

All tickets must be purchased online prior to arrival. We do not operate an on-site box office. Parking passes are issued with your ticket purchase and are required for entry into the parking lots, so tickets must be secured before arriving at the airport.

We strongly encourage purchasing early, as pricing increases over time and certain venues may sell out.

What if it rains?
The North Star Air Show is a gated event and tickets are required for entry. All tickets are non-refundable.
For safety reasons, performances may be delayed, adjusted, shortened, or ended early.
If a portion of the event is impacted or terminated early due to weather or other circumstances beyond Event Management’s control, refunds will not be issued. However, at our discretion, we may offer accommodations such as admission to the alternate show day or discounted admission to a future North Star Air Show.
If a show day is fully canceled due to conditions beyond our control, we may offer admission to the alternate day or to a future event, subject to availability.
All updates will be communicated through our website and official social media channels. Safety always comes first, and we appreciate your understanding.

How do I request media credentials?
Please email our Director of Public Relations at pr@elevateairshows.com no later than 2 weeks prior to the show.
